The philosophers have already perceived the
world in various ways; the point is
to change it. - Karl MarxTo tell you the truth, it all started with my cousin, Mandy. I was reading her spectacular blog, The Poteet's Feats, and I thought, What if I started a blog... Well, then a while back I found out that my mom also has a blogger. Fancy that. So today I finally decided that enough is enough, I'm starting one to. My only problem is going to be, can I keep up with it? Well... let's let the chips fall, see where they land...So back in early September, the eighth grade started. I was up all night before the first day. Anticipation anticipation anticipation. Wait wait wait. I have to say, I was slightly scared senseless... *laughs* It was all for nothing. I had a great first day. I did find out that "The table" as my friends and I referred to our lunch table from last year, was gone. So we firmly planted our self at a new table which one of my best friends, Benjamin, had the decency to note was a "straight" table versus our table last year which was circular. Everyone got a kick out of it but me. Well, I did kind of laugh to. I mean, the irony in it could have made anyone laugh. Uh, being bisexual can so make you the laugh of jokes with friends. Heck, with my friends, anything can make you the center of the joke. It's all in good nature though. So far, I've had my schedule changed twice, almost three times. Our schedules are really odd. For my schedule I have four classes, lunch, then this Enhancement class which I find quite odd, then a few more classes. Well, I was in the Highly Capable Program (a class for advanced students, almost like Honors except for Elementary) in third, fourth, and fifth grade. Thanks to that I automatically get Honors core classes (LAR, Science, Social Studies, ect.). Unfortunately for me, the Honors Social Studies class is third fourth and fifth periods. Well, I have third year Spanish which can't be switched do to the fact of there only being one class. I also have Geometry which I can't switch. Then, I must have a lunch (third fourth and fifth are also the lunch periods) so I can't switch that either. Thus, I am stuck with being in regular Social Studies and doing "extra" work so that I get the requirements for Honors my Freshman year. Quite stupid if I do say so my self.My Enhancement class was the stupidest class ever. I was in Enhancement Vocabulary. A class for people who didn't quite pass the WASL last year and needed help with there vocabulary skills. My Enhancement teacher is also my Social Studies teacher, which I found quite off. Well, I, as usual, passed the WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning for those of you who don't know) by more than enough. More so than that, my vocabulary skills are quite fine. I don't need help with words, ask anyone! So it took a few weeks but I recently was aloud to take Enhancement Tech which is actually, secretly, an Advanced Technology class for those who took Tech last year. I am quite happy about that.I also got out of Gym and College Education to be a Teachers Aid seventh hour for one of my other best friend's (Julia) science teacher. Though imagine the luck, seventh period is the class that Julia has Science. I am constantly hanging out with her in that class. It is amazing. I'd give the name of the teacher but the spelling of it slips my mind right now so I might add it later. Today though, I found out that Mr. B (I'll call him that until I get the opportunity to find out the proper spelling) is Mormon. Now, I am open minded so don't go thinking that the fact bugs me. On the contrary, I found it quite ironic because my mom and cousins (George and Mandy) are Mormon and belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I use to belong to the church but I have... er... quite recently "left" the church for my own reasons. More amusing than that, Mr. B's youngest daughter, Melanie (so close to my own name) works at the orthodontist office that I go to for my braces.Mom let me take her camera to school today so I was quite happy. I only got to take pictures of my friends on the bus, but it was crazy fun none the less. I am not quite sure how to do this picture thing so please be patient if it turns out weird. My little cousin, Ruby, and I before school today. My hair isn't usually like this, I just did it oddly today.
One of my best friends, Julia, and I at her house this morning. Her first comment about the picture was, "I LOOK SO TAN!" It made Ruby and I laugh.
My friend, Lianna, talking away to Cathy. Lianna, I get a kick out of that girl. You can't say anything with out her having to comment about it.
This is Cathy. I was so proud when I found out what she was reading. Turns out she was reading The Host by Stephanie Meyer. Twilight, anybody? Host was sooooo good. I probably shouldn't have read it right between Breaking Dawn and Eclipse though. Mandy let me borrow it though so *shrugs*. I am so sad about Midnight Sun. Dumb leaker. I still have to read the first 18 chapters that are already on the Internet. I am so glad that she didn't release the leaker's name. There would have been hundred of girls and guys after them in a stampeding rant! Hahah! So true I am.
My amazing photo taking skills get a chance to take effect on the bus today. This isn't photoshopped or anything. I only used the Sepia tool that came custom on the camera. It was so AWESOME!! I was quite excited. *laughs*
So that's pretty much life for me lately. How about you? I hope you all had a killer summer. I know I did.
